Post-doctoral contracts
Post-doctoral contract offers from EPE uB Europe are published “as they come along” on the Euraxess website, as well as in the “Recruitment in progress” section.
Post-doctoral contracts are designed to help PhDs make the transition to permanent positions in public or private research.
Article 7 of Law no. 2020-1674 created the post-doctoral contract, which is detailed in Decree no. 2021-1450 of November 4, 2021 concerning public-law post-doctoral contracts.
Such a contract enables the researcher to carry out research activity as part of a project selected under an international or national call for projects, or defined by the welcoming institution. The researcher’s activity under the contract gives him/her professional experience that complements the doctorate, enables him/her to deepen and further his/her research practice and facilitates his/her professional transition.
The contract must be signed no later than 3 years after obtaining the doctorate diploma, for a minimum of one year and a maximum of 3 years, renewable once up to a total duration of 4 years maximum.
