Studying with a Disability
Disabled Students
Do you have a disability ?
At the Université Bourgogne Europe, there are many ways to make your studies and life at university easier :
Steps to take
Preparing for university
I’m a high school senior with a disability, and I’m applying via Parcoursup. In this case, if I wish, I can fill in a liaison form in Parcoursup. This form allows me to communicate my specific needs.
Regional Academic Commissions for Access to Higher Education (CRAAES)
In each academy, the CRAAES guarantee the right of access to higher education for all applicants. Candidates who can justify an exceptional situation may ask for their application to be reconsidered. The CAAES will take into account:
- my needs for support, compensation, care and transport
- my situation as a pupil or student
- any recognition of my disability, health problem or learning disability
- how various educational institutions take accessibility into account.
To find out more:
- I consult the Dijon Academy – CRAAES
- or call the Parcoursup toll-free number: 0 800 400 070
- or write to the CAAES caaes@ac-dijon.fr
If I need any special arrangements made on the part of the university, I contact the University Health Service as soon as possible.

I study at the UBE
Je souhaite bénéficier d’un accompagnement personnalisé et I would like to benefit from personalized support and special arrangements during my studies (request possible throughout the year, excluding special examination measures).
- First, I go to the Student Health Service (SSE) to pick up an explanatory form. This will tell me what documents I need to submit to open my file.
- The SSE then studies my file and contacts me to arrange an appointment with the MDPH-approved doctor. It is this doctor who will draw up an opinion outlining any recommendations for special support.
Please note that the assistance offered may differ from that previously granted at secondary school. For example, there is no longer an Aide de Vie Scolaire at university.
As soon as I am notified of the recommendations made by the SSE doctor, I must send a copy to my department secretary and to Mission Handicap.

Assistance available only on recommendation of the Student Health Service
