Atheneum
What is the Atheneum?
The Atheneum is the cultural center of the University of Burgundy! It’s a lively place in the middle of the Dijon campus, complete with a pleasant café and a 200-seat theater. The Atheneum is dedicated to contemporary creation, research, raising awareness about art and culture, support and professional integration for young up-and-coming artists, and exhibition rooms.
What can you do at the Atheneum?
At the Atheneum, you can attend a show, a concert or a festival, discover an exhibition… but also have a coffee or lunch, take part in a cultural workshop, play board games or table soccer! A whole lot of things!
One of the special features of the Atheneum is its cultural café: a program is organized around this space featuring a number of cultural events. Take part in a free embroidery workshop, a writing workshop or gaming night, come discover a film-and much more!
Who can come to the Atheneum?
Anyone! Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy this essential part of the Dijon campus – students of course, but not only!

The Atheneum is subsidized by the Ministère de la Culture et de la Communication – DRAC Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, the Région Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and the Ville de Dijon. The Atheneum is a university service. It is subsidized and partnerships are forged, notably with the CROUS.
