Philippe Grelu elected Research Fellow by Optica Society
The Optica Society recently published the list of researchers elected Fellows for the year 2025.
Among the 121 winners from 27 different countries, Philippe Grelu, professor at the Université Marie et Louis Pasteur (formerly the Université Bourgogne-Franche-Comté) and member of the Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire Carnot de Bourgogne (Photonics department), was singled out for his pioneering work in non-linear photonics, in particular his in-depth research into dissipative solitons and dynamic instabilities in ultrafast fibre lasers.
Becoming a Fellow of Optica is a prestigious honour awarded to those who have made significant contributions to the fields of optics and photonics. Selection is highly selective, with only 10% of the society’s members eligible for this title.
Congratulations to Philippe Grelu on this award, which highlights the excellence of the research carried out at ICB and Université Bourgogne Europe.
