Financial aid

A number of grants are available for students going abroad on an exchange or internship program.

Eligibility conditions may depend on the:

  • type of mobility (various exchange programs, studies, internships…),
  • budget available,
  • number of applicants,
  • destination country,
  • duration of your mobility
  • or your socio-economic situation.

These grants can often be combined. In some cases, they will cover all your mobility costs (travel, accommodation, food, sightseeing, etc.), especially if you are going to countries where the cost of living is lower than in France. But some of you will need to have your own budget to (co)finance the cost of your international mobility. Whatever your case, you need to plan ahead to ensure that you have sufficient financial resources, because even if you are entitled to one or more grants, payments may be made several weeks or months after your departure, depending on how long it takes to process your application administratively and financially.

To find out about the cost of living in the country and city where you will be staying, you can consult the following comparison sites: Numbeo, Expatistan, Combien-coûte.

If you will be receiving a grant other than the Erasmus+ grant, the Aide ministérielle (AMI) or the Conseil régional Bourgogne-Franche-Comté grant, you must ensure that the aid in question can be combined with any other grants you may be receiving.
