Accommodation

Advice on finding accommodation for international teacher-researchers hosted at the UBE

It’s essential to start looking for accommodation before you arrive in France. It can be difficult to find accommodation, especially at the start of the new academic year, and especially when you’re arriving in a city you’ve never been to before.

Depending on the length of your stay in Burgundy, we recommend that you get in touch with your EURAXESS Centre to find out about accommodation options and get help with your search.

Formalities

For longer stays, you’ll need to take out housing insurance, and have a guarantor in France, either through a private person living in France who will act as guarantor, or through a national system such as Visale (for people under 30).
