Bruno Latour (1947-2022), philosopher

Son of the Louis Latour wine family, he studied philosophy at the University of Burgundy, where he developed a passion for biblical exegesis. He attained the first place in the agrégation of philosophy, which he prepared in Dijon. After his PhD thesis, he multiplied his projects, research collaborations, teaching and publishing. In 2013, he received the Holberg Prize, considered the Nobel Prize for social sciences and humanities. More recently, his play Gaïa Global Circus, an ecological and completely burlesque tragi-comedy, was staged by the Dijon-Bourgogne theater in Dijon in December 2015.
