Roch Marc Kabore (1957, Ougadougou), Burkinabe statesman

After studying at the University of Dijon, he obtained a Master’s Degree in economics in 1979 and a post-graduate degree in management in 1980. He returned to Burkina Faso where he held a series of important positions, including that of Prime Minister. But he switched his allegiance to the political opposition. And once Blaise Compaoré was removed, he became President of Burkina Faso in 2015 (and was re-elected in 2020). In 2018, he was made Doctor Honoris Causa of the uB by then President Alain Bonnin.
