Launch of FORTHEM Alliance’s Green Travel RoadShow

Departure on 17 March from the University of Latvia for Dr Stefan Baumeister, Program Director of the Corporate Environmental Management Master’s Degree program University of Jyväskylä, who will travel 15,000 km through 18 countries using only sustainable transport. His aim: to prove that low-carbon travel is possible over long distances.
During his journey, he will stop off at the various universities in the FORTHEM Alliance to raise awareness of the ecological impact of travel through lectures and interactive workshops.
Stefan Baumeister will be at the UBE on 7 and 8 April 2025!
Program :
Monday 7 April / 5.30pm – 7.30pm: Raising awareness of green mobility – students
Tuesday 8 April / 5.30pm – 7.30pm: Conference on the impact of green mobility – for everyone
Venue: Dijon campus (the venue will be sent to you by email shortly)
In addition, informal visits to the campus and the sustainable transport masters courses will be organised.
Why is it important? Academic mobility is crucial, but traditional travel increases CO₂ emissions. This event raises awareness of sustainable travel options, encourages eco-friendly choices, and provides practical advice on how to plan and fund green travel.
