Election results for the President of Université Bourgogne Europe

On Thursday 13 March 2025, the Board of Directors of Université Bourgogne Europe elected the President of UBE, following the elections of representatives to the university’s central councils on 18 and 19 February.

Vincent THOMAS, outgoing president of the University of Burgundy (since March 2020) was elected with 25 votes out of 38. He becomes the first president of Université Bourgogne Europe, a new experimental public institution created on 1 January 2025.

He will be supported by a governance team, the members of which will be appointed at the next meeting of the Board of Directors (Conseil d’Administration or CA) and whose composition will be detailed in a forthcoming article.
