8th Arthur Loyd barometer: Dijon praised for its higher education

In the 8th Arthur Loyd barometer, the city of Dijon ranked 1st in the category of intermediate metropolises. It ranked 5th in the higher education category.

Higher education praised

‘Quality of life’ is not the only area in which Dijon shines. The metropolis stood out by ranking 5th in the higher education category, thanks to its ‘extensive university offer’ and ‘proactive policy for students’.

Areas for improvement

Among the areas for improvement identified, the barometer mentions ‘greater openness of its higher education establishments to internationally mobile students’. International policy is one of the major challenges facing Université Bourgogne Europe.

It focuses on various points:

  • the development of inter-university cooperation ;
  • internationalisation of training courses
  • promoting outgoing and incoming student mobility;
  • welcoming international students who come to study on an individual basis;
  • quality reception for international lecturers and researchers;
  • mobility of teaching and administrative staff.
