The university of Burgundy officially becomes Université Bourgogne Europe !

Today’s Journal Officiel published decree no. 2024-1157 as of December 4th creating the Université Bourgogne Europe and approving its statutes (https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/jorf/id/JORFTEXT000050733030).

The publication of this decree marks the culmination of a two-year consultation process during which our community regularly exchanged views, debated and voted within its bodies. More than a turning point, the creation of Université Bourgogne Europe is a major step forward for our institution and marks the beginning of a new era.

It also marks the beginning of a new era in the development of higher education and research in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. The creation of the Université Bourgogne Europe is a unique opportunity to strengthen our regional roots, our academic influence beyond our borders, our research capacity and our international appeal with all our partners: higher education establishments, arts and culture schools, engineering and management schools, health establishments, national research organisations and student life players.

For several months now, you have been able to consult the information page dedicated to the EPE Université Bourgogne Europe on our website (https://www.ube.fr/projet-epe/124195-2). It has been regularly updated and will continue to be over the next few days, with the release of six short videos designed to answer some of your questions.

Listening, dialogue and consultation have always been at the heart of our working method. We will continue this collaborative approach by placing the university community at the heart of our project.
